~When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs~

One of the things I enjoy most is capturing moments in a photograph, or enjoying the photographs others have taken.  I make no claim of being a photographer, that would be a lie.  I own a Nikon, but owning a Nikon does not make a photographer.

This is a collection of some of my photos I've taken recently.  I hope you enjoy looking at them!

I took this photo while driving (I wasn't driving, just so you know.) up Interstate 80. I believe we were near Truckee, but I can't remember exactly.

The Crest Theater on Christmas Eve 2011.  I love the look of the neon.  It's more impressive at night, but it's still pretty.

Downtown Sacramento in the late afternoon is so beautiful!

This is the "cottage" at Empire Mine, Grass Valley, CA.

The gardens attached to the Empire Mine cottage.  These gardens are lovely, and I saw them during the winter, they must be spectacular during the summer!

As I said in the beginning of this post, these photos aren't fabulous, but I enjoyed taking them and I hope you enjoyed looking at them!

Recent Projects

Hello everyone!
Being new to blogging, I have no idea what to blog about and I've been thinking about it for days now, driving myself slowing insane.  So I decided I'd put together a blog or post or whatever you call it of some of my recent projects.  I hope you enjoy looking at them!

This knitted shrug I finished a few months ago, I love the color and design.

A card a made for my sweetheart.  It is my first painting project that I actually finished, so don't judge me too harshly.

I love this dress!  I made this for my living history job and I can't wait to wear it!

Knitted socks for my boyfriend.  I was surprised by how much he loves hand knitted socks, so I've been making a lot of them lately.

My mom and I have recently gotten interested in polymer clay.  Our friend is very patiently teaching us.  The candleholder on the left is the one I made and the one on the right is my mom's.  Polymer clay is surprisingly fun!  If you feel hesitant about trying it, go for it.  It may surprise you how fun it actually is.

Well, there's a taste of what I've been doing lately.  I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures!
